Meet Mary Beth Blend
MS, PT, C1 Schroth Certified, Scolio-Pilates® Authorized Practitioner
Physical therapist. Scoliosis specialist. And someone who understands this journey personally.
I discovered I had scoliosis while completing my graduate studies in Physical Therapy. Like many people, I began searching for answers on how to stay active, how to move safely, and how to support my body long term.
That search led me to Pilates, and it changed everything.
Through movement, strength, and a deeper understanding of how my body works, I learned how to support my spine and feel confident in how I move.
What began as a personal journey became the foundation of my work.
Today, I bring together over 25 years of experience as an outpatient orthopedic physical therapist, more than 20 years of teaching rehab-based Pilates, and over a decade of focused training in scoliosis management.
My continuing education includes advanced training in the Schroth Method, Scolio-Pilates®, manual therapy, and other research-based approaches to spine care.
What I share with my clients is both clinical knowledge and lived experience.
“I have scoliosis. I don’t let that prevent me from doing the things I love.
I am armed with the knowledge of how to deal with it, how to work with it, but also how to thrive despite it.
If you are someone who has scoliosis and who loves to be active, but isn’t sure what you should do, what you should avoid, or how to modify movement, you can arm yourself with the same knowledge that has allowed me to feel strong and confident in my own body.”

You will learn how to recognize your alignment, how to move with intention, and how to apply what you learn in your everyday life … so that progress continues long after your sessions end.
Mission + Legacy
My mission is to provide personalized, research-based care that empowers people with scoliosis to take an active role in their health.
I want every client to feel supported, understood, and capable of making meaningful changes in their body.
The long-term vision for BlendFit is to expand access to this kind of care, creating opportunities for more people to learn about scoliosis, understand their bodies, and feel confident in how they move.
Because when people understand their curve, they begin to see what is possible.
You do not have to navigate scoliosis on your own.
With the right guidance, you can learn how to support your body and feel stronger in it.
Virtual and in-person sessions available. No referral needed.
A short conversation can help you understand what’s possible for your body.
No pressure, just an opportunity to ask questions and learn more.
