The BlendFit
The BlendFit Method is Mary Beth’s personalized scoliosis treatment plan curated of a variety of exercises, stretches and clinical techniques from the Schroth Method, Scolio-Pilates® and physical therapy.
Following her 25+ years as an outpatient orthopedic PT, 20+ years teaching rehab pilates and 10+ years of focused training in scoliosis management
- Mary Beth Blend, blending science with experience, learned not only how to care for her own scoliosis and live an active outdoor lifestyle, but curated a method that truly helps others live the same way.
Those with spinal conditions will walk away from treatment with a customized fitness routine shaped to their unique curve and spine
- empowering them to manage their symptoms and care for their curve long-term, improving their quality of life!
This method teaches each individual to care for their own bodies long-term.
As scoliosis is a permanent condition, it requires dedicated self-management of symptoms to avoid further complications and pain that occurs over time without treatment.
Get to know your curve, and know how to treat it.
The Schroth Method
a technique that prevents curve progression through spinal stabilization and improved body mechanics utilizing the three core principles of:
● Elongation & De-Rotation including gentle lengthening of the spine and reducing rotational imbalances to improve overall alignment.
● Rotational Breathing with targeted that help expand areas of the ribcage affected by scoliosis. This improves lung capacity while also supporting postural correction.
● Muscle Activation & Stability through specific positioning and isometric muscle engagement, the body learns how to stabilize corrected positions, helping improvements carry over into everyday movement.
+
incorporates scoliosis-specific corrections into every movement of traditional Pilates, emphasizing specific breathing and fascial work by utilizing:
Scolio-Pilates®
● Curve-specific Positioning to support better spinal alignment and reinforce proper alignment during movement, not just at rest.
● Controlled, intentional movement that reinforces stability and coordination. Improve muscular symmetry by strengthening weaker areas and supporting balance.
● Targeted muscle engagement to strengthen areas that need support, increasing stability and coordination throughout the body.
● Real-time adjustments to ensure exercises are working effectively for your body, supporting long-term spinal health through consistent, controlled movement.

a clinical foundation for improving joint and soft tissue mobility, spine/pelvis alignment and how to body moves.
Physical Therapy
● Hands-on techniques to improve joint mobility and release soft tissue restrictions, reducing stiffness and improved range of motion.
● Targeted movement assessments to better understand your posture and mechanics for more efficient, supported movement.
● Guided corrections to help your body move in a more balanced and supported way for increased comfort in daily activities.
● Personalized instruction so you understand how to apply what you learn for greater confidence and in how your body feels and functions.
